I understand the reasons for keeping it local, I was just reaching for some hope there. ;)

Hmm...I wonder if the wife wants to move to Utah...

I tried it again with "MLS*" and got nothing, but "MLS *" pulled up results. PAF, with or without the space, gets nothing either way.

Are there any plans yet to have the Tech Talks anywhere besides Utah?

Or do we have any locals there that are willing to organize into blogging groups that span the various sessions so that we can get as much information about as many of the session as possible?

This is a pretty common complaint in my area too. There are several little work-arounds that you can do, like sperating multiple numbers with a comma, but it would still be an improvement to just be able to list multiple numbers.

As soon as I get some understanding of Java (working on it right now) I'll be glad to help with whatever grunt-programming there might be. It will probably take a while before I know it well enough to contribute anything of particular worth. I'll keep an eye on the posts here to see what's going on ...

The web is full of resources but it depends on how much of a programmer you are and what languages you are comfortable with. If you've done work in C++, or C# I think it will be very easy for you to pick up Java from an intermediate book or Sun's website API. If you are a beginner (and from what I ...

Share the wealth! (of knowledge)

Particularly concerning Java. I have seen a large number of posts here mention Java and some of the many benefits to using it. While I do have a degree in computer programming, the class that I took in Java consisted of the teacher telling us to read a chapter, and then spending the rest of the day ...

I wish there was a way that those of us outside of SLC/Provo could at least watch and listen. <sigh> Yeah, if it didn't take 16 hours for me to get to Utah, I'd consider going myself. ;) Any information about what's going on at the talks is better than none, but having it all (in any format) would ...
