Re: Can't get OBS working with Webcast 3.0
I've been successful with a few tests recently. My confidence in the webcast system is increasing. May attempt to use it for the next stake conference.

Can't get OBS working with Webcast 3.0
Has anyone been successful getting OBS studio to stream to the new Webcast 3.0? I get the following error when clicking the "start streaming" button in OBS: Could not access the specified channel or stream key, please double-check your stream key. If it is correct, there may be a problem c...

Re: YouTube is out
I finally got an official answer during a phone call with HQ. YouTube will remain unblocked however the church firewall enforced YouTube’s safe-search protocol which gives unreliable results for live-streams. The system can’t detect the content of a live stream so sometimes it will just block it com...

Re: OBS Studio
I'll have to do more testing. When I tried it OBS would say it was connecting and then almost immediately disconnect and attempt to connect again, and then fail. Are the bitrate settings strict?Just now tested OBS with the church's system and it worked fine.

OBS Studio
Is anyone successfully using OBS Studio to stream to the church streaming service? I was surprised that it didn't seem to work while being very similar in setup to wirecast.

Re: Anyone still using wirecast?
Do you use OBS studio with the Church's streaming server? In my testing, I can't get the two to work with each other.

Re: YouTube is out
I'm guessing Sunday Streams is not blocked by the firewall then? The sending unit did not appear to have any difficulty connecting, so I'm pretty sure that was okay. For the receiving side, I ran a Raspberry Pi to view the round-trip, and that worked fine, too. Firewall rules can change over time, ...

Re: YouTube is out
Fwiw: There have been several good recommendations here in the forums that Sunday Streams is good at that sort of thing. I used them myself to stream a funeral to the missionary son outside the US, and I found their skill, systems, and customer service to be excellent. Here is a search for the phra...
