from what I can tell the architecture is to have secured REST services and things get done via webapps and mobileapps worldwide. Perhaps the place for a network would really be HQ offices. I've also been mulling it over and its a simple solution. Don't rely on the meeting house network. My plan is to download all content and put it all on a central local media server with a nice searchable menu and interface (theres many out there, especially opensource). something you can try is join a project and try gain access to the application and understand what it should do, then you could join as a tester. We always need good testers :)
