Google's Chromecast

There is great excitement about Google's chromecast. With respect to this article,http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/07/27/why_chromecast_is_important/ do you think the church will develop a receiver app for the mormon channel, byutv or lds.org? This would be a cheap way of streaming church content t...

Re: Running Android apps on a computer

We have the Adroid version of the Gospel Library connected to our television in the family room and use it for Family Home Evening lesson and for family scripture reading. It has been a great tool for our family.

remote access

I will be our new stake technology person soon. We have a very large stake as far as boundaries. From North to South is 2.5 hours and East to West is 2 hours. I would like to be able to remote into the computers when I get a call. What is the church's policy for remoting into church computers? Also,...

Desktop version of mormon channel or mormon apps

I like what I see on my mobile phone, but I'd like to have the same or similar interface for the desktop. I like to have some of this content for when I teach lessons at home. It is much easier for me to show this on the television than to have everyone gather around and view it on my android phone....

We have 10 buildings in our stake and all of them including the 5 branches have satellites installed. All of them except 3 buildings are more than 30 minutes apart. Our Southern boundary to our Northern boundary is like a 2.5 hours drive and East to West is about 2 hours. I just assumed that all LDS...

Thanks for the insight. We will have to look into that. We originally put the sound into the mixer and we could hear the buzzing before we sent it to the computer. I'm not sure about the pulpit spot light. I'll have to pay closer attention to the lighting when I get back to the stake center. I was b...

Our Stake Conference broadcast setup

First of all I need to thank everyone on this forum. I spent quite a bit of time reading and asking question. I was pretty clueless when I started. (See http://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5534 ). Looking back it was amazing what we were able to accomplish in such a short time. We had approx...
