Here's another idea...

Here's another idea that I just thought of... Sign-up sheets! Wouldn't it be great to have a function where people could sign-up via the ward website for certain things (for example, to bring something to the ward potluck, to feed the missionaries, sealing teams, etc...). Then they could have the op...

Sounds good!

I display ages for those under the age of 20. After that, I don't display the age. I believe most people would be good sports about letting people know when their birthday is, as long as we don't disclose the age. This is very similar to the birthday list produced by MLS. I also cut out the birthda...

Thanks!

Here are some other ideas: 1. On a periodic basis write a short "getting to know you" article about one of the young women. It is likely that the young women know each other so you need to make it fun by listing things like: favorite food, color, book, etc. Other things might be goals, ac...

It would be nice if the Ward Calendar had the ability to layer-in individual's birthdays. I'm not sure how hard it would be to do, but definitely it would be nice to filter the birthdays by organization. For example, the Primary presidency can see the birthdays on the calendar for primary children....

What happens when you send directly to your e-mail in the Membership directory (from the blue screens and logged in as a normal member)? Is it possible to determine if the failure is for all e-mail or for only e-mail sent by broadcast from the website administrator mode? Someone could try this by e...

How the LUWS can benefit the Young Women's Organization

So I had an idea. I thought that if I could get the youth in our ward to start using the Ward Website, then maybe their parents would catch on? So my plan was to email the Young Women's Presidency with a list of suggested ways that they can utilize the LUWS to benefit their organization. Some exampl...

Just a quick note to the developers - MLS has a built-in "training" ward complete with an "Ideal ward" and "Ideal Stake". There's a big start on your data, ready-made. That sounds great! But isn't MLS only available to Clerks? I'm a Ward Website Administrator, not a cl...

Anchor Tag

Some of my News and Information posts are long, and dividing them up among different posts would clutter up the News and Information section even more. I was wondering if there was a way to put links at the top of the post (via anchor tag, javascript, or other method) to divide the post up. For exam...
