Finding ancestors who need ordinances

The reason most names are in new FamilySearch is because the temple work has already been done. The idea is to help people see what has been done, so that they can then DO RESEARCH to locate more names outside of new FamilySearch.... New FamilySearch was not intended to replace research, just make ...

Since I can't tell if silence is consent or disagreement :) let me ask some different questions: 1) Is there any policy against such a survey? 2) Can a link to the survey be put on the music site home page? 3) Does the survey have to be hosted on church servers, or can it be on an external server? 4...

Take this with a grain of salt, for what it is worth I looked up lds.org on Alexa, and found some rather interesting results. And for purposes of this thread, music.lds.org did not even hit the radar on Alexa. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/lds.org# Under "How and Why We Crawl the Web," the Alexa si...

Survey Users?

Team, What would you think about surveying users of the current music site to get a better idea of how they use the site? I'm thinking of something brief, with questions like the following: ⋅ Below is a list of features on the music site. Please indicate how often you use each one ( possib...

Hit counts for current site?

Is it possible to get hit counts for all pages on the current music site, maybe for the past year? I think it would help us in planning the new site. Plus, as I've been exploring the current site, I've found pages I didn't know existed:). It would be interesting to know how often they're accessed.

Part II: Suggested Criteria

I apologize for the delay in responding, but I've been on a wonderful genealogical adventure :) that has taken much of my discretionary time since I last posted... but which will inform the response I promised to Alan's question. Reader's Digest version of the adventure: While working on a particula...

Another problem

Found a somewhat humorous error the other night resulting from this new process. An ancestor was married several times. I added one wife and printed their FOR. Later, I added another wife and printed the FOR their sealing. It forced the already-printed sealing of the first wife to be added to the FO...

Okay, here are my thoughts as I've pondered the questions raised by Alan and Russell. ⋅ I think it's fair to say the Lord wants us to avoid duplicate or incorrect temple ordinances (D&C 127:9 and 128:9). We're not just checking names off a list. These are ordinances which bind on earth and...

While you're contemplating Alan's question, I've got another one for you: Using the measurement of doing the most amount of work for our dead, with the least amount person-hours, where would you set the criteria such that: - The level of duplicate work wouldn't create a serious efficiency drain - Y...
