That can work short-term, but eventually Chrome will remove the NPAPI. Why not just use another browser now? They're plentiful. You'll have to use a different one eventually.

The key for any device to work with PVC is for it to install drivers on your computer and register itself as a source of video, such as a webcam. If it does that then it should be available to PVC.

Automatic termination of schedule webcasts

When scheduling a live webcast I saw this message:
Note: If the Webcast system does not detect encoder traffic 30 minutes into the broadcast, the event will automatically terminate.
I'm assuming that means 30 minutes into the scheduled time and not the 2-hour pre-buffer, right?

You actually can downgrade the firmware version. The VidiU Initial Setup Guide contains directions in the section titled "Manually Install a Supported Firmware Version".
