Re: Tv in bishops office

I've never seen FM overturn a decision that the stake has made regarding the building.

Re: Tv in bishops office

I can’t find anything either for or against in the FM policy documents. I can find references to serving and supporting the Stake president (via the PFR) in his responsibility. That’s in line with what I’ve heard anecdotally. An FM guy told a Bishop he could do what he wanted with the building in th...

Tv in bishops office

Does anyone have a large screen tv mounted in the bishops office, either for a status board or for teleconference?

Re: Auditor Question

When I was a stake financial clerk, after all the audit reports came back I’d compose and send an email to all the ward clerks listing the exceptions, not the responsible ward, and tips that could help avoid each issue. I’d send the same email again. After that audit I’d do the same thing but also i...

Auditor Question

LUFAS allows an auditor to pre-select transactions prior to a unit’s audit. Should (or can) the auditor share the list of pre-selected transactions with the unit clerk?

Re: Callings app or Software?

That's assuming the software and it's data is stored on the local device and not in the cloud somewhere. Anymore, that seems to be so "last decade" way of doing things. Even so, the Meetinghouse Technology Policy says: 4.9.3 The use of MLS data and membership information in third party so...

Re: Callings app or Software?

I always cringe when someone suggests creating a new database that duplicates an existing database. Keeping the two databases synchronized can be a full time job. The Tools app and the Directory are automatically synchronized with the data in LCR. If leaders are not satisfied with the way LCR, the ...

Re: Callings app or Software?

I would expect that the privacy issue could be taken care of by keeping the populated software or iPad secure following policy just like we do with other confidential records. FM has already said no to the tv but we got around that before by running it through the stake. If we can sell the stake pre...

Callings app or Software?

Our bishopric uses an old magnetic board in the bishops office to track callings and consider new assignments. The Bishop is considering a more up to date method and is even willing to personally donate a large screen tv so it can be mounted to his office wall. Has anyone developed software that wou...

Re: Zoom pictures

Im not sure a person can join a meeting without at least entering their name. Most people that use zoom regularly have a zoom free account and profile (I have one that loads every time I launch zoom). The bottom line is that if you have the option of adding a photo, it's going to be helpful to someo...
