Re: BUG: AP missing from TM

Found and solved the issue. Somehow, both missing APs had their names, which should be unique, set to AP10f3.119a.278c and AP10f3.119a.259c , respectively. This caused them to show up twice on the firewall and prevented TM from "seeing" and finding the APs. Since it looks APs up by their n...

Re: BUG: AP missing from TM

I took a look at your buildings. Both buildings have the same issue below. The AP information is specific to the KAHALA, KAIMUKI building. This is what the the firewall sees: Device ID Local Intrfce Holdtme Capability Platform Port ID AP4c4e.35b3.e439 Fas 0 156 T B I AIR-LAP10 Gig 0 APbc16.6537.49de...

Re: BUG: AP missing from TM

We need more specifics. Which firewall are you having issues with? When you mentioned that the GSC saw the right amount of APs but noticed that one was repeated, does that mean that they didn't see the missing AP either? If the firewall can't "see" the AP, TM will never know about it and y...

Re: WiFi Password

How to change wifi password, there have been a lot of non members who knows the password and are connected. It makes the connection weak and the church is being some sort a public place to stay. There is no current way of having a custom Wifi password. Custom passwords are difficult to support and ...

Re: Technology Manager 2.0 Release

I've also found that the AP list in TM only updates with the 10 minute "checkin". So that list is not very responsive. You have to watch the "Last update" field in the "Usage Statistics" tab to see if the update has occurred. This is only the case when an AP is "a...

This most likely indicates an issue with the firewall/internal AP itself. Contact the GSC to resolve the issue.

Re: Technology Manager 2.0 Release

Is there a limit to the number of APs TM will display? Because I'm only seeing 10 out of the 11/12 units. The missing AP seems to be functioning normally. I can connect to it and access TM that way. There is no limit to the amount of APs that TM will display. Every 10 minutes the firewall "pho...

Re: Technology Manager 2.0 Release

I like the idea of being able to attach labels to the APs, but how would we identify them? The MAC address presented to the wired network is different than the one presented to the wireless devices. The best I can think up at the moment is to stand under on AP and then look at the list to see if th...

Re: Alternatives to Cisco

You can talk to your FM group and see if they would be willing to buy a local firewall. The models would have to be a Cisco 881W, Cisco C881W, Cisco C881, or Cisco 891F (most likely would not be sold locally). Technically a Cisco 1921 could also be used but isn't recommended. Only these firewalls wo...

Re: After Remote Firewall Upgrade, FHC Printer won't Print

If this is an official family history center, all printers should be on a static IP address that falls in the VPN zone network on the firewall (so that it can be remotely monitored by the family history department). Regardless of being official or not, all network printers should be placed on a stat...
