Full Time Missionaries Scheduling Building

We have given building access to the full time missionaries in our new area (the new Gilbert, Arizona Mission). We have very thorough use of the LDS.org calendar for scheduling of ALL use of buildings. I would like to give the Mission Office the ability to schedule our buildings for use by the full ...

Re: Request for PVC usage scenarios

I have tested PVC on a MacBook Pro laptop, but have not tested the CHAT® 150 | CHATAttach™ 150 USB microphone system with MAC OS. Is it MAC compatible?

Re: Issue Notifications in Facility Issue Reporting (FIR)

Yep. You are correct. I have read the manual many times and use the FIR tool just about every day. It has been a great improvement. Just seems like a vital piece of the pie would be active notifications when a new issue is submitted.

Issue Notifications in Facility Issue Reporting (FIR)

I am the PFR (also over technology). We have been using FIR with our FM Group for several months and it has been a wonderful tool. In fact, all leaders in our Stake/Wards know and follow my instruction that no issue will be considered as "reported" unless it is issued through the FIR tool....

Re: App for sacrament meeting program.

Agreed.. We are lucky enough that our building bandwidth can stand up to the amount of users that are allowed to connect by the number of IP's the 881w Firewall will dish out. Our only slowdowns on Sundays are when we try to access LDS.org (because the rest of the planet is doing the same). We will ...

Re: App for sacrament meeting program.

Just a different perspective... I think all members should have the WiFi password. If they are going to make the decision to come to church, they should be able to make the decision to use the network judiciously. Pulling up a 250k pdf of the ward bulletin isn't going to impact the network much at a...

Re: Cant use Highest Quality Setting on Meeting Webcast Soft

I am going to go and verify what our current numbers are at every building this evening.. But I have checked since our last bandwidth numbers and everything far exceeds the numbers both in the application and that I have seen as requirements on tech.lds.org. I will post what our numbers are after I ...

Re: Cant use Highest Quality Setting on Meeting Webcast Soft

WE do speedtest before connecting to the salt lake streamers and we get 37 down and 26 up with our business class cable from Cox. We have done the same test at all three other buildings and have gotten no less than 20mb down in each, Even with our streamer pushing up its fattest signal, we still get...

Re: Cant use Highest Quality Setting on Meeting Webcast Soft

PC power is definitely not the issue in our case. We have the best possible PC that far exceeds anything the church recommends. We're cruising the Intel Core i7-3770 with massive gigawhops of RAM and our processor seems to barely skip a beat. We are encoding with a high end Osprey card in the PC. In...

Re: Cant use Highest Quality Setting on Meeting Webcast Soft

Thanks Michael - Since I have the pleasure of seeing the 1st class operation you all run down there - your suggestions always hold weight with me.

Any other experiences anyone can share with using the max quality settings with the church's software broadcast solution would be much appreciated.
