I can understand restricting things like that to cut back on bandwidth usage, but blocking Apple content also prevents situations such as downloading/updating LDS Tools or Gospel Library without switching to mobile data and burning a lot of data.

We're having the same issue in our YSA ward. All of the new sisters are being assigned to the High Priests Group, which of course doesn't exist, and we can't seem to figure out how to move them to the Elders Quorum. I've submitted a bug report but until it gets fixed I guess we'll just have to write...
