Year end errors

After closing out the year, we've been unable to access certain functions - enter expenses, donations, finance reports, etc. Ive done several send/receives with no success. Anyone else having this problem?

Re: Other Accounts used for Scout Fund Raising funds

First: none of the funds obtained through charitable fundraising can "inure" to the benefit of an individual. That's fundraising fraud. The primary reason that you aren't having to collect and remit sales tax on this fruit is because you are doing so to promote the aims of the charitable o...

Re: New Wards and Tithing settlement

While the electronic and physical tithing records don't go anywhere, as part of the division, the ward clerk should print the Tithing settlement statements for all affected members and provide them to the new ward clerk(s). At least, that was the policy when I had to do it 5 years ago.

Re: Policy on using local unit funds to purchase television

While the TV is fit for purpose, it should not be replaced. If the picture quality or other factor has deteriorated so to you can not effectively use it then it should qualify for replacement. I think the point the OP was making is that the TV that is available is not fit for their purpose - that p...

Re: Policy on using local unit funds to purchase television

In one building in our stake, the library and Relief Society room are on two levels and the Sisters cannot easily transport an old, non-flat panel TV and cart up and down the stairs. The FM group denied our request for a new, lighter, more manageable TV since the old one is not actually broken. The...

Re: Number of Ward Tithing Status

Right, so while there's nothing online, in response to OP's question, if those summaries aren't readily available in the stake's offices, he can request the clerks reprint it for the previous year, and give him the numbers. If they are available, it's a simple matter of adding up the numbers, rather...

Re: Number of Ward Tithing Status

It's been a while since I was a Finance Clerk, but my recollection is that there were two distinct reports that printed with the Tithing Declaration Report. The first was the Report itself, and the second was the Tithing Declaration Batch Summary Report. Didn't the Batch Summary Report break it dow...

Re: tear-off portion of deposit bags

Just so you know, the tear-off portion of the bag is actually incredibly useful to the bank if they need to investigate the disappearance/misplacement of the deposit bag. Depending on where you make your deposit, the bank's employees are likely not the ones first handling the bag. That is probably a...

Re: Cease and Desist? ldsscriptures.com

My understanding is that the ldsscriptures app and the LDS Scripture Citation Index are totally different apps, created by separate developers (ldsscriptures is done by Michael Jensen, Citation Index by Steve Liddle). The Scripture Citation Index is still available, likely because it doesn't merely ...
