I only notice the difference with internet explorer. Firefox seems to parse the page just fine.

Phone Number Standardization

Is there a quick way of standardizing phone numbers? In every ward I've seen, there are always a bunch of phone numbers in (xxx) xxx-xxxx and xxx-xxx-xxxx formats, and it'd be nice to choose one version, or the other, with out having to manually find and change each phone number.

Fast Offerings

Missionaries are also instructed to pay fast offerings, unlike tithing, in the ward where they are currently serving. So the missionary is paying the fast offering in the ward he is instructed to pay as well.

FamilySearch Life Browser

As soon as I read your post I remembered a project I used to look at by FamilySearch Labs ( http://labs.familysearch.org ) called Life Browser. While this is a discontinued project, I would be surprised if the idea itself has been abandoned. I believe that this would be a worthwhile application to k...

Blessings are Listed as Ordinances

If you look at the Individual Record's ordinances, you have the option to add an ordinance, which includes child blessings. From there you can record the blessing as you would any other ordinance, and print the certificate to be signed by the bishop/branch president. This does not create a new recor...

Stake Presidency on Ward Officers Sustained Form

On the Officers Sustained form for Ward Conference, there is a spot for the Stake Presidency that the Clerk needs to fill out. I was thinking it would be handy if MLS downloaded the Stake leadership information and autogenerated those fields like it does for all the ward callings. It seems rather od...

Working Copy

I have attached a rudimentary copy of what I think you are talking about, and it only took me about 5 min. on Adobe Acrobat 8 (using the LiveCycle Designer). Acrobat did most of the work, I just had to fine tune a few things. So, I think this is a pretty easy solution (if you have the software), and...

Custom Reports

I recently have found the need to create several custom reports, and MLS was the best option I had (since I needed a lot of member data to go into them). The problem I've noticed is that while you can choose "User-Defined Fields," you cannot change the name of that field (so that it would print sayi...

Mouse-over Footnotes

I love using the online version of the scriptures. There is just one thing that I think could be better, the footnotes. When we want to use the footnotes, you can click on the link and be taken to them (which, thankfully still has the verse), but when I am reading the scriptures, I prefer just glanc...

You took the words out of my mouth...

I cannot agree more with KGThunder on the Church News. Just earlier today I wanted to find information that I knew was in the CN, but when I googled it, searched several online databases I know (including lds.org) I could not find the information I needed without a membership for the CN (being that ...
