Funny, I converted the entire BYU-Idaho catalog to mp3 last year during an internship with their Media Services department. The conversion was from the original wave files, so they ended up sounding better than the current wma files, too. I also converted most of the devotionals into video files as ...

While I don't usually speak up for others, I recently got a newsletter email from ReadScriptures.com that said that they are expecting to release a scripture reader for the iPhone/iTouch this June when the SDK is finally released. They also mention this announcement on their website. ReadScriptures....

I am in favor of keeping this project online. Beyond the financial gains, I feel the the collaborative efforts are greatly enhanced when we can build off each others' contributions daily. The opportunities for bringing more people in on the project are many fold greater as well, in my opinion, as is...

While I don't know for sure, my presumption in that English, Spanish, and Portuguese have been grouped together because there are already released versions of the scriptures online in those languages. This seems consistent with Tom's statement (above) about looking for beta testers for the unrelease...

While not as regular - why not add the Sunday School videos, World Reports, and General Conferences (I did subscribe to a General Conference podcast once, but I only received one file). I would love 'Spoken Word' and Tech Talks as well. Frankly, I think I would like (and subscribe to) anything that ...

Without overwhelming, General Conferences have more media to consider than text. How could audio and video be incorporated into this? MIT has put together a great example of unifying search with video and text. The site displays keyword results with text AND a timeline of where those terms are menti...

dstovall: Frankly, I am not sure of the best way to go about this. That is where the "power of the forum" will come in. Cross referencing General Conferences online would be a technology and gospel study effort. But I believe it would be a very rewarding one for users and contributors. Usi...

Thank you for the comments. The BYU site is a great resource, but it still uses only scriptures. What I am primarily suggesting is that General Conference addresses be cross referenced with each other. For example, a quote or section on faith by Elder Bednar could be cross referenced with a quote on...
