Re: Stake Conference Advice, 2 languages
Mevo multicam is a good app (VERY user friendly and quick to master) but how are you planning to output that video to Zoom? A single mevo can be used in USB webcam mode or NDI to interface with zoom, multicam is more tricky. The workaround is to use virtualcam/RTMP server. If it's essential to utili...

Re: FIR APP ISSUES
Don't know what device you're using but FIR works well on my Android phone and windows laptop.
Just wish LCR finance worked half as well!
Not tried FIR on my ipad so not sure about the reliability of the iOS version.

Re: OBSBOT TINYCAM / ZOOM / OBS technical issues
You could certainly try moving the powered USB hub from the computer end of the chain, to the other end of the USB extension cable, right up to the camera end and see if that makes a difference for you. I have used NDI with the mevo start camera to good effect. Uses less bandwidth and processing tha...

Re: OBSBOT TINYCAM / ZOOM / OBS technical issues
Process of elimination? Start with the USB extenders and hubs. You don't specify which type of these you are using. If they are just passive and bring in no extra external power then you are asking for trouble. Plug the cameras directly into the macbook pro you are using. If they work fine without t...

Re: Camera Suggestions
The preferred method across our stake has been the Mevo Start camera. This was also encouraged by our area technology specialists and our FM group. Direct streaming to YouTube or Zoom - Yes to youtube, no to zoom. (last time we looked, there was not a camera on the market that could connect directly...

Re: Replacement for 'mywebcast' to list zoom meeting links
Been playing with free google sites / google forms in an effort to retain a consistent link and to capture attendance data as well. Not quite ironed out all the creases but you get the idea and could emulate something similar in just a few minutes if it suits your needs. https://sites.google.com/vie...

Re: Is Zoom the best they could come up with?
I'd agree with that. As we all seem to be concluding, Zoom gets used when people don't know better or have limited experience with other things so have more confidence in a product that they have personally tried and tested. For many, Zoom is their comfort zone and gets the job done in accordance wi...

Re: Is Zoom the best they could come up with?
I agree with some of your points, although with more experience you can optimise the zoom experience a fair bit. Audio is greatly enhanced by checking the box to "enable original audio" in the settings, you can also enable HD video if not already done. When I questioned this move further u...

Not all systems are created equally. That applies to church buildings as well as lightning to HDMI adapters.
To start with, are you using the official adapter?

Re: End of Webcasting in July 2022: Please transition to Zoom
Does the Zoom built-in "Live on YouTube" work with channels that do not have 1000 subscribers? I know that the mobile app from YouTube require 1000 subscribers. I have been able to get around that by using RTMP with the Larix app. Yes, it works on both my account with 380 subscribers and ...
