Re: End of Webcasting in July 2022: Please transition to Zoom
"If more than 500 participants are expected for a webinar, Zoom can be configured to redirect overflow participants to a live streaming service. YouTube Live is the suggested platform for larger events like stake or regional conferences. Using Zoom as the front-end platform enables a moderator...

Re: Any suggstions for a stable portable camera mount?
Yes, we have those adapters which were needed for the PTZ camera but not for the Mevo camera. FM group in our area were happy to provide microphone stands but not the required adapters for the camera. You may want to enquire and see what they can provide for you from their budget. You may also have ...

Re: Less Expensive POE Solution for Mevo
I did eventually get the 2 adapters and some success but it was not consistent and reliable. It was very particular about the order that you connected and powered things up. Even then, sometimes it would not operate and I'd end up with either just Ethernet or just power. Ultimately we went for the M...

Re: Any suggstions for a stable portable camera mount?
We use a microphone stand. It is very stable and has a very small footprint. You can get threaded adapters for whatever camera you are attempting to mount. It extends to 7 or more feet but we find that high is a bit unnatural for viewers at home. At 5-6 feet high it till sees over the congregation a...

Re: Zoom Hardware Guidelines
There are some stakes within our FM group that have zoom rooms systems installed in the stake high council room.
They have quite specific needs and geographic challenges though.
Definitely not a prudent solution for the majority of us.

Re: Getting Audio right with Virtual Sacrament Meeetings
Revisiting this topic as we needed to improve the sound from the organ into the broadcast. Currently feeding audio out of chapel sound system to Mevo by 3.5mm TRS. When hymns were being played, the 3.5mm was removed from the mevo so that the camera's internal mics would pick up the ambient sound in ...

Re: End of Webcasting in July 2022: Please transition to Zoom
Curious about the push towards Zoom and seemingly avoiding YouTube? The church virtual meeting team is not trying to move people away from Youtube. You can use whatever solution works best for your unit. You have free access to Zoom webinar, but if Youtube is preferred by any given unit, you can ce...

Re: Webcast end of life question.
We are inviting only 2 wards to attend stake conference in person, the others will be asked to watch it at home. There's no way we have enough room for the whole stake in any of our buildings, nor would there be enough parking. Our Stake President asked us to broadcast stake conference into 2 other...

Re: End of Webcasting in July 2022: Please transition to Zoom
Curious about the push towards Zoom and seemingly avoiding YouTube? I'd imagine for most of us, the easiest transition without changing hardware is to move from webcast to youtube. Very simple to reconfigure a Teradek or Mevo for this. I'm sure there must be reasons for this that i'm not aware of. A...
