Don't forget your 5-year upgrade

I was looking through the Policies and Guidelines For Computers Used by Clerks for Church Record Keeping (August 2009) Scheduled Replacement of Computers and Printers Each record-keeping computer’s central processing unit (CPU) is normally replaced on a five-year cycle. The stake physical facilities...

I think we're getting somewhere!

:cool:I really don't see any major differences of opinion here. I agree that moving the Boy Scout callings under Young Men makes sense. I'd like to see the committee positions created there too. (Yes, some wards have functioning scout committees!) The idea of creating units as classes is excellent a...

Assignments Vs. Callings

I love the ability to see custom positions. This has really assisted in my quest to clean up our records. What I don't see in MLS 3.0.2 is the option to add assignments. Tonight I focused on the Boy Scout leaders and found that the most recent version of MLS (3.0.2) lists all positions twice, once under Young Men Lead...

How to delete a class set up with bad parameters

I was experiencing a similar issue with a custom primary class. A prior clerk or member of the primary presidency had created a class called "other." Because of the parameters they used on new class setup, whenever a new membership record was received, that member was placed into this "other" class....

Setup Complete

I was able to set up each of the dens as a separate primary organization. For reference, Wolf scouts are 8 years old, Bear scouts are 9 years old, and Webelos scouts are 10 years old. New scouts, formerly known as Blazer scouts, are 11 years old. Thank you jdlessley for the tip to read up on classes...

Cub Scout Dens as Primary Class

I'm working on the cub scout callings right now and plan to add each den to Primary as a class. This should also provide rosters for den meetings. Is anything wrong with this approach?
