We use an "other account: Cub Scout Pack" in one of the ward's in the pack (agent ward). We establish a per boy budget at the beginning of every year to account for all awards and activities so each ward can budget and allocate it as part of the year and then receive a check from each ward...

It is pretty easy to utilize a google doc spreadsheet to accomplish this. That is what we use in our bishopric to keep all the callings straight and the flow of calling and releasing assignments. Then it can be accessed via print out, tablet, laptop or smartphone in meetings.

Seems as though it is an issue with the calendar, not the event. The calendar should be setup to not accept bad events/characters etc. Going through the validation process isn't really a great solution for every stake/ward to have to go through.

Besides having a ward photographer take pictures for the directory, which works great, we frequently leverage Costco to create collages for each activity. You can use up to 30 pictures and they are super cheap $1.49 for a 10x12 or 8x12, $2.99 for 11x14 or 12x18 and then a bit more expensive for larg...

I had this same request and spoke to Salt Lake about it a few months ago. They mentioned that a future release, perhaps as soon as this month will link a members profile with their city in the LDS account so you can search on city at and more easily identify folks in your ward.

We discussed as a ward council what activities we would like to do (based on what has been done in the past) that helps to meet our needs as a ward. We determined dates, got them on the calendar and have assigned an organization to own at least one throughout the year. It seems to have worked well a...
