Reinstatement

Brethren, I am the stake clerk. We are having a reinstatement disciplinary council coming up. The person being reinstated does not have a membership record shown on the stake database. What do I use for a membership number? Does an excommunicated person still have a membership number? If so, how do ...

Tax Exempt Certificate

I called the Church and learned that there is no California exemption for the church, and accordingly, no certificate.

Thank you for your help.

I have been asked for the Tax Exempt certificate to allow for a reduced price on equipment. I have never seen such a thing. Can anyone direct me?

Old Quarterly Report

Brethren,

Is it possible to access a stake level MLS generated quarterly report for previous quarters? If so, how is that done?

Thank you,

Deployed Member

Dear Brethren,

I am the stake clerk. One of the High Councilors asked me what a ward should do with a member who is deployed overseas. Does the ward retain the record or what?

Any help is much appreciated.

New Stake President

Our stake is reorganizing in a week.

How do I get the new president logged on to the church email system and the other special sites? I am unfamiliar with them myself.

Thank you,

Melchizedek Priesthood Certificate

Dear Brethren, A stake member was ordained to the Melchizedek Priesthood. Before the certificate was printed, he moved to another ward. The member is no longer on the stake membership list, so an ordination certificate cannot be printed on MLS. What to do? How do we get the former stake member a cer...

Disciplinary Council

Brethren,

I saw the online Disciplinary Council report.

1. Is the report submitted online or is it still mailed in?

2. If the report is submitted online, how does the stake president sign off?

3. If it is submitted online, can the clerk do it?

Thanks,

Sales Tax Exemption

Thanks.

The Tax Department said that in California, the Church pays the tax and does not claim a sales tax exemption.

This forum is of tremendous value to me.

EIN

A scout was trying to purchase some equipment and he was asked for the EIN. That is all I know, at this point. But it did cause me to wonder about the EIN.
