Just received a call from a ward financial clerk asking if we have an Employer Identification Number. Do local units have EINs?

Transfer of Funds
Brethren,
It is necessary to move funds from the stake to a ward.
Can this be done by merely reallocating the funds? Or, for audit purposes, is a paper trail necessary? What kind of document would constitute an audit-friendly trail?
thank you,
Michael Klobas

Geographic Codes
I entered the geographic codes on the stake computer. I was dismayed to find that the codes did not trickle to the ward computers on MLS. Is there a way to make that happen? If the wards enter the geographic codes on their computer, will I see it at the stake computer? Thanks, Michael Klobas Stake C...

Stake Clerk - No Administrator
Though our stake has a technology specialist, he is not acting as the computer administrator. It would appear that the responsibility may devolve to me.
Is there a way to notify the MLS system who the administrator is, etc.?
Thank you,
Mike Klobas

Stake Clerk - Computer Users
The 2nd counselor to the stake president is not listed as an MLS user. I have heard that he needs to be left off for audit purposes.
Should he be on the computer? Is there anything to the audit issue?

I need to remove some users from the stake computer. I can remove all the checkmarks, rendering former users as inactive, but seemingly cannot remove them completely.
Is there a trick for this?
Thanks,

Membership Audit
I am a challenged stake clerk and am overwhelmed as I read the forum. I read somewhere that the membership audit forms are on MLS. As I visited the stake computer yesterday, I went to the audit menu and did not see the promised membership audit option. Has it been removed from the latest update? Wha...
