I know it's possible - on my mission I served in a very small branch in the Caribbean where members paid tithes in Euros and US dollars and MLS definitely handled both - but I know nothing of the details.

If you do really need to know who baptized or confirmed a member, you're best bet is probably the member themselves or family who may have records or the original certificate. But even if you get the information there is no reason to enter it into MLS. If the member doesn't know, nor their family, ...

Interestingly, I was surprised to learn a few months ago that having the report from a previous disciplinary council when reconvening is not actually a requirement. In most cases it's useful of course but not strictly necessary if the presiding officer doesn't require it. (An example could be where ...

All I wish to comment on is that the suggestion that any policy leading to restrictive use of technology is based on mistrust towards missionaries is NOT true. Most missionaries would use technology wisely and appropriately even if it had the capability of allowing them to, say, view material they s...

Re-baptisms and re-confirmations are not recorded locally - they are recorded by Headquarters once the necessary forms and paperwork (referred to by aebrown) are completed. Once submitted, keep an eye out in MLS in the few weeks after and you should see that a record is created. One reason for this,...

How many High Councillors consitute, 'officially', a quorum for decision making purposes?

Our stake presidency has asked me to find out.

Who can set apart a Ward Clerk?

Book 1 of the CHI, current edition, states that a Ward Clerk is set apart by a member of the Stake Presidency. One of the counsellors in our Stake Presidency - recently called - has inherited a CHI which has a handwritten note in the margin stating that an official letter dated 23 May 2009 stated th...

Once I looked further into it, I found out that he was sustained in stake conference, but the ordination never occurred. Were you able to confirm that the ordination definitely didn't take place, as opposed to having happened but not being recorded? Worth making 100% sure if you're not already: it ...

Office of Patriarch in MLS?

I've come up against the same issue this week. MLS Help and other sources don't make any reference to it.

Can anyone confirm definitively that there isn't any way in MLS to record ordinations to the Office of Patriarch in the Melchizedek Priesthood?
