Payment of upgrade

I started out with the idea of upgrading our Ward box, but when the other clerks heard of my radical idea, they got excited. I passed the idea over to the Stake tech, and it went from there. The former Stake tech is a professor of IT technologies at Dixie College, so I figure he couldn't get blame f...

Employment Contract Lengths

Please dispel a rumor. I talked to a Church employee, and he said that the
Church is trying to eliminate long term employees due to the

MLS Suggestion - Requesting Records

Occasionally there are times when we are requesting a membership record that you realize you have made an error in the birthday or spelling of the members name. Once you have hit the save button, there is no chance to make last minute corrections. It would be nice to make last minute correction to t...

Loss Of User Names

Our former Stake computer rep installed two wards on one of the wards computer, due the addition of a Spanish branch in our building. One Saturday the financial clerk of the original ward did his back up, which he claims was done in the normal manner. Sunday when the Ward clerk tried to login, all o...

What was the cost of implementation of the software? I have also used a package called 'System Architect' by Telelogic (though IBM have just bought them), it allows you to map your architecture and the interdependencies between systems on that architecture. So in the context of change management you...

Home Teaching Report and Configuration of Districts

As the membership clerk for our Ward, I don't know how many times I have had to help the Sisters set up visiting teaching districts. I find that just recommending that they read the screen and look for the obvious, seems to work. But I have always wondered why they got rid of old form we used to use...
