Note for Bro. Clarke: the new familysearch gives screen resolution error messages with at least the ASUS EeePC brand of netbooks. Since these lightweight computers are growing in popularity, could family history consider adjusting the UI to accomodate these computers? James Francisco STS - Queen Cre...

Bro. Dehlin mentioned a new map application with ward boundaries. Will there be a way to improve error correction on ward boundaries?

In a new building why have wireless access at all? I'm in the process of provisioning a 16224 sq. ft. Chapel (Full chapel, not a stake center.) that should have between 25 and 29 network jacks throughout the facility. Right now I can't think of a case where I would want to have wireless in that buil...

I'm not sure that there is a good business case for thin clients in the church's computing environment. There is not a huge difference in cost between the thin clients and the lower end computers that the church buys for wards and stakes. The big savings for business organizations come in hardware a...

There are a couple of possibilities here. First, there may be a security settings issue in IE 8. You might check the default programs and access settings. The other possibility is that the Move Client is not supported in Windows 7 yet. Remember that it is a release candidate not a commercial product.

In all honesty, not really. I'm well aware of the security controls and the effort that has been made to make them workable. I'm also aware of at least one good argument involving their possession of keys of presidency for posting the quorum presidents as part of the YM leadership. But, relying on t...

AP Quorum Presidents in LUWS

One of the wards in our stake has published the names of their Aaronic Priesthood quorum presidents in the ward leadership section if LUWS. I've got reservations about this because of youth protection issues. Is there any church policy about publishing youth names in the leadership sections? James F...

Just an observation. BSA has not had den mothers for at least 30 years. The position title is den leader. Ctrl-Shift-C, once you click on a name (to set the window focus) should let you copy it to the clipboard, and a spreadsheet. Noticed there is no provision for a Sacrament Program Specialist. It'...
