Re: Automated Donation Update

We do have a system called Gift Aid which allows charities to reclaim tax on the donation (tithing) and the church is registered as a charity. Members have to register that they want to pay their offerings via Gift Aid. They have to be paying income tax to be able to pay via Gift Aid. This is where...

Re: Automated Donation Update

Just rechecked the email sent in early March, from our LUF office and quoting "but this is a brand new program and it is probably a couple of years away from being implemented." This relates to a proposed secure web site donation payment system. In answer to rich's statement, I personally...

Re: Automated Donation Update

To russellhltn: Agreed... I should have set the context with " is starting to make available... " and that I am from a unit in NANE. Simply meant to give clerk-types a ray of hope that the church is making a significant step forward from the not so useful options discussed just 6 months ag...

Automated Donation Update

Rather than extend an already lengthy topic chain here ... I'd thought clerks would appreciate an update about what the church has made available to automate member donations in many bank (on-line) billpay systems. I couldn't find this instruction or info posted anywhere for clerks, so at the risk o...

Ahhh thanks for the pointer! Yes the cert is available in v3.7. We are a small ward, I haven't had to print this one yet.

Re: Out of date forms

Apologies for posting on a * VERY * old topic. But I can't find where in MLS to print a "Primary Certificate of Advancement". I do see it on store.lds.org for Cambodian to Urdu but no English. http://store.lds.org/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product3_715839595_10557_3074457345616706414_-1__1...

Re: Missing Families

That's what it was. The member was unaware it was set to 'ward visibility'. He set it back to 'stake visibility' enabling other units to see his family info. Thanks for reminding me of that feature.

Re: export households from ward directory?

I partially agree/understand that they aren't available in LDS.Org. From my experience geo-codes are received/sent from/to CHQ all the time. Example: when I receive a new record in my unit, CHQ often has the geo-codes set to some value that means something to them or the previous unit the record cam...

Re: export households from ward directory?

I see in LUD [Export Households] and indeed a file 'unit#.csv' is exported. The schema is very different from MLS though. Where is the MLS schema (fields) for geo-coding member lists in LDS.Org? As a clerk, I use the MLS ward and stake geo-codes to track Spanish/English households and other attribut...

Re: AOL blocking ldschurch.org

There were only 4 email addrs to aol.com (suppressed the names to protect the innocent). I would be surprised if 4 would trip a spam alarm...
