Guys, I'm serious.... I am finished talking about this or anything related to it here. If anyone wants to contact me privately to discuss anything, I'd be happy to talk to you.

Interesting question :-) For security reasons, RAR.org is private code. However, if I thought it would be helpful in any way, I would look for a way to provide it to someone who would find it of any value. (ie: remove/change the confidential parts of the code relating to security). In case you have...

I've gone back and re-read at the benefits you've listed earlier in the thread. Clunky, but still seems possible. I'm still trying to understand. What are the critical benefits to the website that simply can't be duplicated via email? The hard part is going to be coming up with a challenge/response...

Well there's really only two approaches you can take if you're unable to achieve the Church seeing things your way. The first option would be to just accept whatever the Church's outline for version 1 of the HT/VT app and wait for them to come around to your point of view in a later revision. The s...

That can be resolved by periodic dissemination of the results. Again, not ideal, but I believe it answers the concerns raised by RAR's approach. At our level, we have no say over policy. So we have to bend the technology to comply. Sorry, but in my opinion, an Email-only situation is more than just...

Actually, Home/Visiting Teachers, Supervisors, and Presidency Members collaborating together to log the visits throughout the month. This methodology encourages teamwork.

I still read the relevant wiki page as supporting that. Specifically that the EQ Pres or HT supervisors can record that reporting online. The philosophical issues raised by allowing individual home/visiting teachers to report online have still not been approved. The potential philosophical problems...

One of the things RaR did was provide proof-of-concept (for which it was rightly lauded). But even though the Church may have lauded that concept and the extensive effort that went into it, that does not obligate the Church to adopt that concept at the expense of its own needs and objectives, howev...

In your opinion, is there a way that much of this functionality can be duplicated via email, perhaps by running a program on the quorum leader's computer? Or maybe even done without fancy technology? In other words, is there a way to get the desired benefit while side-stepping the issues the curren...

No, it doesn't make me wonder about the management of the project. And honestly, I can't stand to read these ignorant statements anymore (from more than just you daddy-o). As I have stated several times now in this very thread, it is the spiritual leadership of the Church that have chosen the requi...
