It's possible that we have had the audits, but I've only seen the one. As I type this, I'm on the phone with the Finance Dept and we're trying to clear this up. She worked some magic on her end, had me make some "other items" entries on my end, and now the temporary items are gone! Truly a...

What's an audit? :) Just kidding. Back when I was a stake financial clerk (many years ago, before MLS), I had an audit every six months. In the four years I've been in this branch (as a member of the branch presidency and now as a clerk), I've seen exactly one financial audit.

Just a follow-up. I'm sitting in the clerk's office now looking at the temporary item for a bounced check. As it turns out, the check was written (and bounced) in November 2004. It's been carried as a temporary item since then. There are two others that I think may be easier to fix: two outstanding ...

Are those folks around on Sundays, or do I have to take care of this during the week? BTW, who is "Local Unit Support?" The Stake Financial Clerk has been consulted on this issue, but nothing ever got done.

I'll check tomorrow how old the batch is. I had assumed you wouldn't be able to go back to a prior year. Thanks!

I'm glad I found this thread, though I'm sorry to be resurrecting it. I believe I face the same problem. We have three different temporary items that we've been carrying for more than four years. Apparently there were some bounced tithing checks way back when. The individuals in question aren't here...

That's a great site. I logged in and it shows where everyone in the branch lives (some are outside the boundary line). Every address shows as "unverified" though. Is that a side-effect of the beta status, or is there a way to verify an address?

Mailing Address on Ward Directory/LUWS?

Our branch is in a very rural part of New Hampshire. Many members have a completely different mailing address than their physical address. Some of these are actually PO boxes in a different town entirely. Recently we noticed that the LUWS and member directories printed from MLS only display the phys...

Right. These items had no expiration date, but apparently were so old they had fallen off the maintain page anyway. The worst part about it was that one of the members listed as helping out in nursery "this week" died a couple of years ago. It upset at least one person, who brought it to m...

Can't Delete News & Information from LUWS

If this is "old news" (sorry for the pun) to some, I apologize. But I just discovered something that I thought I'd share, just in case it helps someone else. I am the administrator for our LUWS. A member pointed out to me today that we have some old news showing up on our "News and In...
