Alan, when you indicate that we would be wise to hold off on making transfers I assume you are referring to transfers for the purpose of establishing auxiliary budgets? I have gone ahead and made the appropriate transfers to zero out the Bring Forward amounts for 2011. I hope I haven't spent an unne...

Hmmm, I did a restore yesterday from data dated 02 Jan 2011. We are using 3.3 and it seemed to work just fine. I wonder if you need to do a fresh install of 3.3 first.

It sounds to me like the member is wanting to make an "In-Kind" donation. My experience is that the Church is reluctant to accept in-kind donations and if they do, will only accept a very limited type of donation, i.e. stocks, bonds and securities. The bishop should check with the stake president wh...

Good tips, thanks. I'll check the printer properties - didn't think of that.

Our computers are old! I checked the CPU usage and noted that as soon as MLS is booted up, the usage jumps to 98-100%. Not much room for anything else to be working in the background.

Thanks again.

I agree. I've asked CHQ a couple of times in the past for a "bug list". It would not only save calls to them but it would save some calls to me from the ward clerks. The response has always been, "Sorry, we don't have a list".

Has anyone experienced long wait times printing the CFS and UFS? My ward clerks are complaining that it takes a minute per page - not that bad when they are only printing an 8 page statement. I had 3 - 40 page CFS to print. The first 24 pages took 1/2 Hr then the printer shut down and I had to reque...

MLS 3.3 downloaded to our stake in BC, Canada as well. It appears that we are indeed beta testers once again. (Sigh) On the plus side, one of the new features in 3.3 allows the stake clerks to update ordinance information instead of waiting for the ward clerks to do it. I've already updated two ordi...

I've had the same thing happen and put in a couple of requests to LUS to allow us to modify/correct/hide these sub-subcategories but so far no action. Perhaps if enough units request an improvement it will eventually be programmed in.

Hi DJC, Thanks for posting this. It clarifies some of the questions in my mind. I note that it says not to transfer old expenses from Budget:Admin - that makes sense. How about transferring the equivalent old expense amount from the previous subcategory (under Budget Allocations) to Budget Allocatio...
