Why is that? Is your stake not participating in LUWS? When I attempt to retrieve my login by entering my membership id and birthday, it says it cannot locate me in the system. I can only assume there's a typo (handwritten) of my membership id on my temple recommend. Nice site. Are you are aware of ...

A new calling

I was just called to be the building scheduler for our Stake center. I immediately came here to read up on what solutions exist to facilitate scheduling. Seeing the various complaints with the lds.org system (and the fact that I couldn't even get into our ward's site), I ended up just creating my ow...

So having a graph that will show the line of where he should be at any stage and another line of his actual progress would show you this. Or on your screenshot it shows each one as %-complete. That is good but 50% doesnt say much. Would it be possible to show two progress bars? I've thought about t...

Any plans to support tracking individual merit badges? I'm a bit leery of going into detailed Scout tracking. Having worked with TroopMaster I know just how complex tracking Scout progress can be. With YouthMaster I purposefully opted to stay on the simple side -- mimicking the checkoffs in the Sco...

Awesome! I love youthmaster! It's an easy way to make sure that parent, scout, and leader are on the same page, so to speak, regarding meeting requirements. It's also clean and simple to use. Although much of it serves the same purpose as spreadsheets, it does not *look* like spreadsheets. Therefor...

YouthMaster v3.0: The Technology Behind

After recently announcing the release of YouthMaster v3.0 as a [General Discussion] thread , I received a PM asking me if I could share with the community some of the technology and tools that were used to create it. In response I'll happily attempt to outline the details below. First let me explain...

Announcing YouthMaster.Org: v3.0!

After another six months of development (nearly a rewrite), I am pleased to announce the release of YouthMaster v3.0. v3.0 brings many significant enhancements, most of which were driven by user feedback. Anyone can try it out on the sandbox site at: http://www.youthmaster.org/ Login: admin Password...

Is that substantially different from Google Docs spreadsheets? To be honest I haven't tried Google's offering. But if I remember correctly, EditGrid was easier to embed in other sites and not force users to obtain and login to a Google Account. (look at the last 5-6 "Access Rights" comparisons betw...

Hi Todd, Have you looked at EditGrid.com? You can essentially build a super-excel-workbook with very specialized fields/data/formats (and many sheets). The advantage is that it's hosted online, no need to copy it (one single version of the truth), accessible anywhere, etc. It's not a traditional fil...
