That's true as shipped. However they are currently shipping with a license and the disks to go to Vista. As of now, after January 31, 2009, Dell won't be able to ship with XP on the hard drive. At that point the clerk is going to have to either reformat the machine or get MLS to run in Vista. This ...

This is not a result of a developer in a cubicle or any hidden agenda. It is most likely a result of missed code, which is why we have a beta like 2.9 is currently in and a great forum like this where people can discuss the needs and discrepencies of Church programs at a local level. It is good to ...

The other challenge we will have is with the unit that has NO membership records for those who use MLS. This is a correctional unit. All of the records are for incarcerated members. All of the leaders come from other units in the stake, and their membership records remain in their home wards. This ...

The reason is that we are trained at the Church that the developers take their orders from the "customer" who is typically the department or organization that they are working for. Therein lies problem number one, in the real world the END USERS (the thousands of clerks) are the "customer". if we w...

If people would just use e-mail, life would be much simpler! It could be if MLS would support more than one email address per family. I have been requesting the phone number and email fixes to MLS since we first converted to MLS more than five years ago. It is by far the most requested feature impr...

The ward or branch should have a membership record in the Member and Leader Services (MLS) program for each member living within the ward or branch boundaries. You obviously don't live in an area with a high student/ethnic population. Our ward boundaries overlap with two married student wards, two ...
