Re: Can't download Come Follow Me video zip files

I should also add that we're working with the LDS.org publishing team to get the links changed on the actual site but in the meantime you can just change it yourself as a workaround.

Re: Can't download Come Follow Me video zip files

One trick that will probably help here is that any time you see a http://broadcast.lds.org link you can change the host to http://broadcast2.lds.org and you'll generally see much better performance. The difference is that broadcast.lds.org is serving the content from a server in the church data cent...

I miss the 2" tapes from the 60s. Did any of them survive, or is early 70s as far back as conference is going to go online? The church has preserved video of conference since the first televised conference in 1949. Currently the scope of the project that is currently being worked on will only publi...

According to the linked article, Digital Betacam wasn't introduced until 1993. Perhaps it started with a earlier Betacam format and then switched to Digital? My bad--I thought DigiBeta started sooner. The format was 1" until the Digital Betacam era. I've edited my post to reflect the correct dates.

The effort needed to dig back that far might be worth a article. That's not VHS. Possibly it was saved on film, but it looks more like video tape. Probably a standard that's in the dust bins of technical history. (Anyone remember U-matic?) Throughout the 70s and 80s conference was recorded on 1" Ty...

The priesthood session will be streamed but will be password protected. From the boradcast information letter that went out (available online at http://www.lds.org/service/serving-in-the-church/other-callings/clerk-and-technology-support/2012-april-general-conference?lang=eng): The priesthood sessio...

This is a great dialog and we appreciate the feedback. The driving factor behind posting these videos via YouTube on LDS.org is that the hope is to raise the number of views on the video in YouTube and make it more visible to a larger audience because of its popularity. It has nothing to do with try...

Unfortunately, many of the videos on both these locations are now being served up from Youtube. The Media Library section of LDS.org ( http://www.lds.org/media-library/video/ ) does NOT use YouTube for any of its videos. Also, if the video is available for download, there will be a download link be...
