Re: Questions about the recent Win10 announcement

As the STS, I'd recommending creating a "Stake" account with administrative privileges so the folks can't lock me out of the computer.

Re: MLS Won't Run After Windows 10 Upgrade

If MLS is fully upgraded and won't run, there are instructions that appear on the screen, after the Windows 10 upgrade, to change the program to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7. I haven't had to do this on any of the computers that were upgraded in our stake (10 so far).

Re: Windows 10 Upgrade

I'm the stake clerk and also the stake technology specialist in my stake. I have 12 unit administrative computers. In the last three days, 11 of them have been upgraded to Windows 10. After the first two days, three units (that did not receive the on-screen notice that Windows would be upgraded) had...

Re: Windows 10 Upgrade

The upgrade will be done without human intervention. Also, they're apparently going to move fairly slowly. They're only allowing a few days for each group of computers to upgrade. If all of your computers are not left on, one or more of them may not be upgraded.

Re: Windows 10 Upgrade

Since the Clerk computers are all going to move to Windows 10, does anyone know if the FHC computers will also be upgraded to Windows 10?

Re: YouTube no longer blocked?

I've verified that I can play YouTube videos in all five of our Family History Centers throughout the stake. Before attempting to play, I went to HTTP://filter.lds.org and verified that the check mark appeared. I also checked on stake administrative computer and verified that I can go to YouTube.com...

YouTube no longer blocked?

At one of my Family History Centers (I am the stake clerk and stake technology specialist), YouTube is no longer blocked. The filter (http://filter.lds.org) indicates that blocking is enabled and the IP addresses are correct. Has YouTube been removed from being blocked or is there a problem somewher...

Re: Order Forms

Use the "Application to The First Presidency"

I can find it in MLS - it redirects you to a form on LDS.org/LCR. I don't see it in the menus on LDS.org/LCR, but it's probably there.
This is where it directed me: https://www.lds.org/mls/mbr/ca/afp/member-lookup

Re: MLS Report issue

You can't update genealogical information for individuals that appear on the IOS unless you have their membership records. Contact unit support if you wish to update genealogical information for someone whose membership record you do not have.
