Re: API for access to member information

I've been silently lurking in this thread, thought I'd check in again as it's been a while since I heard anything. Disappointed to see no new info. There are several projects that I would like to take on for my callings that would be facilitated by this. A couple examples: Quite a few years ago now,...

Talent and Interest Survey storage?

Is there a way to store the Talent and Interest Survey results? As I recall, this was a possibility in MLS, though I don't believe I ever saw it used. Well, I'm ready to use it! Do I have to track it in excel or a custom database?

Re: New Date for HT/VT on LCR

See this post : "Our instructions have been very specific: move the existing MLS functionality to LCR and resist the urge to add new features or expand functionality at this time." Sorry, I guess I've been programming too much... Since the ability to view home teaching companionships and ...

Re: New Date for HT/VT on LCR

This is exciting news. Two questions perhaps those involved in the beta can confirm: 1) Will individuals be able to view their own home/visiting teaching routes? 2) Our ward has a visiting teaching coordinator manage visiting teaching - will this be possible, or does this have to be done by the pres...

We have a rural branch in our stake. Satellite was considered, though ultimately rejected in favor of cellular. Neither are ideal, but they work reasonably well for limited use.

1. WardMap combines the address1 and address2 lines into a single line, which is probably why it doesn't make a difference for you. It's possible that indicating apartment as "Apt 2" instead of "#2" or other methods will help for geocoding. 2. Unfortunately, there is no option for getting a differen...

1. Yes, the data is completely local. Only the address (no names or other info) is sent to google for geocoding purposes. 2. When an item is hidden on the map, it still shows in the list but with brackets around it. Click on the address and select "visible" 3. Click on the address, then select "plac...

Several years ago, I created a (free) tool which uses the MLS export. As long as the export definitions have not changed in MLS 3.5, you may find it useful: http://wardmap.hpaulsen.com Unfortunately, I am no longer set up to be able to make changes to the code, so cannot support it if it fails to wo...

Mine is a MacBookPro8,2 (2.2 GHz i7) running OSX 10.7.4 and I have had no problems with Chrome or Firefox. I use the membership record lookup nearly every week during leadership meetings. Is it the entire leadership resources section? Have you tried clearing your cache? My guess would be that one of...

For Thunderbird, go to mozilla.org/thunderbird, download the installer dmg, open it, run the installer if it has one (I can't remember) or drag it to the Applications directory then open it. It should handle the rest. If it doesn't change the default mail client, you can do that by opening mail, cli...
