I'm having a similar problem with a Singles Branch. I've exported the membership.csv file and loaded it into WardMap (twice). Both times it counts the correct number of members - around 80, but every address except one is not mapped. During the mapping process 79 of the 80 addresses are noted as er...

So in the short term I was opened the membership.csv file in excel and hand tweaked and fixed most of the problems with the addresses. However, after I save the file and try to load it into WardMap, it just sits there trying to import and does nothing. This may be more trouble than it's worth, but ...

hello, I'm at my clerk office right now, I've downloaded the program, but I'm not seeing a prompt anywhere for "creat a new ward file..." how do I get started? How do I import my membership file? Yes, things have changed somewhat. First, click "Accept". Once the main window comes up, click "Load" a...

I just want to point out that my WardMap program (mentioned before) can be used to preview statistics for each boundary (num members, Melchizedek Priesthood, RS, almost anything else you're interested in) without having to individually reassign members in MLS. It can be useful as a quick rough draft.

For our emergency preparedness committee, we wanted the ability to print each region individually, along with a list of the members and HAM operators in that area. So, I've now added a "Area Report" option to WardMap which automatically creates directories and maps for each region (also changing the...

I guess you just recently noticed this, but the ability to have subcategories of the Ward Missionary fund has been in MLS from the beginning, and was also in FIS before that. This is nothing new -- it's been happening for a good 20 years. Interesting. It seems strange that I remember so vividly a n...

That's why the Church goes to such lengths to make sure that missionary donations are never refunded, and that donors have no control over how the funds are used once they are donated. I had thought so, too, but I was surprised to see that donations into sub-categories of the Ward Missionary fund w...

Going back to the beginning, I wonder whether exported files should be encrypted immediately, even on the ward computer. We just had ours stolen in a seemingly targeted attack (perhaps for the purpose of information mining), and my greatest concern is that there might be a Membership.csv somewhere i...

But just as a FYI then the church has something on its way to do the same things as we are discussing. Thanks for the tip! I look forward to seeing the official implementation. We've been hearing about it in these forums occasionally, but never that I can recall with a timeline. I may postpone furt...
