This is a very interesting thread - thank you. I have an additional problem. Can I put in a request to fix the Birthday List under Leader Resources? Technically, the way it works is "valid", but in my mind it isn't logical: It shows the age of the person on the birthday list as-of-today, not the age...

Year-end Tax Statements and Letterhead

The instructions from Salt Lake City are very specific that Year-End Tax Statements are to be printed on Church Letterhead. Our ward has never done this. I asked my clerks three times today to print the forms on our letterhead. They said 'we've never done it that way, and it's okay, and it's too muc...

Thanks for your suggestions. We'll probably do both - send a link and print to pdf. We are an older ward, and though everyone has email, not everyone knows how to click on a link and use the calendar, etc. These are workable solutions, thanks!

I have exactly the same issue/question! I'm hoping someone will reply with a solution. Here's what we want to do: The old calendar has a csv export function that we can use in many ways. One great usage is to cut down on time in Ward Council going over the calendar! What we want to do is export the ...

LDSJobs.org and cross-posting

Our regional Employment Center Manager sent me an email, asking if I could get him in contact with the folks in our HR department so they could pass along job postings for ldsjobs.org. I replied that I work with them closely due to my assignments as the IT guy assigned to support our HR systems, and...

One odd situation we ran into when the mission president arranged to let our son (and others in his group) return early in order to avoid missing a semester of school. When we called BYU to confirm his acceptance and start the class registration process, they said he was ineligbile because the time...

I assume you've read this whole thread, so you know about the option for a move restriction. So it sounds like you're saying that you'd like a way for a bishop to put a simple flag on a membership record that is not as strict as a move restriction, but invites contact from the new bishop in case th...

Request Bishop contact on a membership

I have a couple members that are about to move out of our ward. They have issues that I need to pass along to their next Bishop. I don't know when they will move - it might be next week or in three months. When they do move, I don't know that it will be us that moves their record out - their new war...

Paperwork

Our mission was one of the pilot missions for this program, and our processes have simplified a lot over time. To make a long story short, our high council rep over missionary work sends out an email once a month to the Bishops confirming where he thinks the missionaries are, and Bishops simply repl...
