Checking the machines last night, there indeed two different products:
FHC machines run Sophos Endpoint Security Version 9
Ward & Stake machines run Sophos Anti Virus 7.6.20
Any ideas why we have one product in FHC and another on the other machines?
Just curious,

Different versions of Sophos??
While having a nice hair pulling time trying to get Sophos to run on a FHC machine I noticed that Sophos downloaded via LANDesk is different than via MLS.LDS.org. Are they indeed different? It seems a bit odd that the two sources would load different versions. The MLS version is at 7.6.6 while the L...

Login / Logout Options questions
I have noticed a variety of login and logout options on machines in the Stake. One wants you to do "Control + Alt + Delete" to go any further, some simply come up with the pick an icon to login and other want you to enter the login name then password to login. What method is most common on...

Can't log off websites
I have two machines in our FHC that won't log off Ancestry.com. Even when you have shut down and booted up again when you open MS Explorer you're still logged in as before. I know this can create problems for the person whose log in is displayed. One machine is slated to be re-imaged later today. Sh...

Not so lucky as to be one who thinks of the levels of protection mentioned. This one who is of the thinking that if one anti-(your choice here) is good then more of them is even better. This is also the type that downloads all the demo software that sounds good and then never pays for any of it. Nev...

Redundant anti-virus programs
I have a self proclaimed computer guru who states that for full protection a computer should have at least 5 levels of protection. HUH??? It has always seemed to me that when you run programs that are competing against each other to protect your system all they will do is fight for control and who k...

Sophos set up questions.....
I'm wondering how to configure Sophos to scan flash drives etc. when they are connected. Yes you can right click in the item and scan but how about automatic scanning regardless? Also is the version of Sophos a bit stripped down from their regular product? When you set up a login at Sophos it wants ...
