Ward Mission Wordpress Plugin

Hey All, So I am the ward mission leader in my ward. As anyone who has served in any leadership position knows, one of the hardest things to do is keep track of everyone. Well, I wanted to make it a bit easier and harness the power of technology to do that a little better so I developed a Wordpress ...

Great stats James! I would be very interested in the facebook stats as well. I love to see how the church is using technology... A million UNIQUE visitors a month to lds.org... wow... that is absolutely incredible. It just occurred to me that you could to to http://alexa.com to find out some more we...

Hey Sean. Welcome to LDS Tech. I don't have any good stats for you, but am also very interested in this stuff. If you find anything, can you post it on this thread so we can all see it?

Thanks!

I think that the ability to broadcast text messages, especially for emergency notification or for the ubiquitous reminder (e.g., Stake General Priesthood Meeting) would be a big plus in some specific situations. This sounds like a fantastic idea to me! It could be set up on an opt-in basis. I know ...

Our Stake is sponsering a Prepardedness Fair. The Stake Relief Society president would like to offer a CD with information from all of the clinics in the form of documents and MS powerpoint files. She has asked me to compile the information on a CD then duplicate it to 200 additional CD so she can ...

This is a great idea. My brother had a blog where he posted his stuff (via email so as not to break any rules). I see there is some sort of email functionality. That is good. To help get the word out more and add some social features links to companion's websites would also be good. That is a good w...

The Anchorage Alaska mission has a branch in Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands. It takes an airplane to get there from the mainland. For sacrament meeting on High Council Sunday, they will use a Polycom to have the stake representative call in and give their talk over a speaker phone. I also spo...

Please keep me informed. :)

I'm glad I found this thread! I've actually started developing something similar for my own personal use. If there's enough interest, though, I might be persuaded to host it for others to use as well. I'll put up a simple beta once I get to that point, and you guys can let me know what you think. F...

I second this idea. This has long been a desire of mine. I have used tons of mobile programs (many of which cost a lot of money), but I would prefer to use the church's system. I'm sure that could end up being a lot of data... and the responsibility the church would have to take on to make sure ther...
