Re: Bug with MIssionary Progress Report - Sacrament Attendance

I saw this some time ago and asked our missionaries about the information they record in the Area Book app. I got the deer-in-headlights look and they said they didn't know what I was talking about... That answered MY question as to why investigators and recent converts whom I saw at church were sho...

Re: App Idea - Expense Receipt Scanner

Office Lens does a pretty good job of capturing a document. As long as there are no lines in the document. I have given up on Office Lens for capturing baptismal consent forms because it cuts off at the line just above the parent's signature. Kind of pointless to upload a signed document with the s...

Re: Updating my ward/stake on LDS.org and lds Tools android app

Member tools was designed to "not" sync automatically as I understand (likely so you can to choose to do the sync when you are not consuming your data or when the church servers are busiest on Sundays). I get regular questions from members of our ward why information and callings are not c...

Re: App Idea - Expense Receipt Scanner

Other than a member uploading their own receipts, this is very similar to the process that can be done with church expenses today. It is neither difficult, nor time consuming. I our unit, we have asked members to email their digital receipts to the organization president who forwards the email as th...

Re: Printing checks without approval

If you upload electronic documentation for a check, then you have to have two approvals (the uploader and one other) before you can print. But if you use paper documentation then you can print without approvals but (as russelhltn said) you need two signatures and both signers should review the docu...

Re: Country listed with my membership record is wrong

I suggest your first stop should be your ward clerk. If he cannot help you, he can seek assistance from the Stake Clerk or the Global Service Center (GSC).

Re: Transferring membership

In our stake, the Singles branch will not keep members on their records who don't attend. They will send their records back to the ward where they live. (If singles attend occasionally, they have hold the branch clerk at arms length to keep him from pulling their records in, LOL.) It might be useful...

Re: Update Budget allocation

For me, I don't "transfer money" within the ward budget. I decrease the contingency line and increase the organization budget line by the exact amount that is is needed to cover the expense. For example, if I had a $50 expense from RS for the prior year and the bishop wanted it to not affe...

Re: Are there Android Gospel Library issues?

I'm not using any VPN or web filtering services at all. I get the same result via WIFI, data, or airplane mode. Odd that Gospel Library opened fine yesterday about 8:30 am and has hung on open ever since (including today).

Re: Update Budget allocation

While I'm sure it's a common practice, no where in Handbook 1: 14.7.1 is the prior year's budget any part of the budget making process. We don't officially use the prior years budget for the future year, but it is used as a reference point. At the start of the year, the budget starts fresh from wha...
