I found some information that seems to answer my own question. The requirement to move to the new firewalls isn't until the end of 2013. Some newer information I just discovered here . This is the first time I have seen this delay to the end of 2013. Older meetinghouse firewalls, such as the Cisco A...

Some newer information I just discovered here . This is the first time I have seen this delay to the end of 2013. Older meetinghouse firewalls, such as the Cisco ASA 5505 and PIX 501, are approved for use in meetinghouses until the end of 2013. No meetinghouses should be using these firewalls after ...

Interesting point about the "my budget" and "your budget". I have found that the best way to deal with the FM group is to make requests as far in advance as possible, and let them know that they need to get it into their budget because the "church is moving that direction". I have often sent them em...

I think we will all hurry up and wait. Thanks for your response. One of our decisions has been to change our network ID and Password to the universal, that almost every other building has. (new hardware or not). Now, we don't have the 881Ws and WEPs yet, so the GSD told us to continue to NOT use the...

Update Needed: When will members authenticate with LDS Accounts?

In an article posted here , we see the statement made: "In 2012, members and leaders around the world will be able to connect to meetinghouse Internet via their LDS Account, making it much easier for them to gain access to online Church resources in ward and stake buildings. Personalized access thro...

MLS Rights and RS Usage

I want to confirm that a member of the RS presidency (including secretary) should have the following rights: A Ward RS leader will have "Organization and "View Membership" to run these reports: Enter VT Contacts (For quarterly reports) View/Modify/print VT Companionships and Districts. View/Print VT...

Another option to consider, if you have the budget, is the Roland VR-3 AV Mixer. This is a video and audio mixer in one. This is the Video mixer mentioned at the LDS tech presentation for meetinghouse Webcast in Riverton, a couple months ago. Here is the manufacturer's page: http://www.rolandsystems...

I worked with Lewis, the author of the link above

Following these instructions, for $18 bucks, and CAT5 from your camera to your PC, you are controlling your EVI-D70 with a laptop with USB. It works great. We literally finished the documentation last week. I can verify it works.

We had to webcast to one of our buildings, and the picture quality was acceptable. The audio had a few seconds about four or five times where the sound volume level went low, almost inaudible, but then came back, as quickly as it went down. Did anyone else have this problem, for those that used the ...
