I worked with Lewis, the author of the link above

Following these instructions, for $18 bucks, and CAT5 from your camera to your PC, you are controlling your EVI-D70 with a laptop with USB. It works great. We literally finished the documentation last week. I can verify it works.

We had to webcast to one of our buildings, and the picture quality was acceptable. The audio had a few seconds about four or five times where the sound volume level went low, almost inaudible, but then came back, as quickly as it went down. Did anyone else have this problem, for those that used the ...

This is the one we got from the local Radio Shack , and it worked pretty well. We split the signal at the chapel projector, and ran a composite line to the cultural hall and split it there. It worked perfect. I guess in theory you could split it yet again for the RS and Primary rooms, but it would r...

What are "extension screens"? Right now, our new stake center comes with the ability to broadcast the same signal to the two screens in the cultural hall, and for large broadcasts, such as priesthood, the same satellite signal goes to the chapel and the two in the cultural hall, as well as...

You can modify the audio volume in the webcast communicator audio settings. I know the church is now recommending a https://tech.lds.org/wiki/Availability_of_Meetinghouse_Webcast_Products_and_Components audio mixer, a couple are listed on this link. We had the same problem with our first webcast. I ...

Accessing building's audio

Okay, one quick question. Does anyone know how to access the building system audio from within the satellite cabinet? For webcasts that have the library as the production room, where do you access audio in for the communicator?

I have not yet set this up, which do you recommend? The electrician will wire whatever I ask him to do. I would like to be able to control it from a laptop.

If I don't have to buy a Sony RM-BR300 I don't want to. That's one expensive controller.

Okay, I followed the advice here, and we had the electrician wire it, and we did a CAT 5 for the control. What ends should I use, can I have him just add an RJ-45 end, then plug in a converter like this one This way, I can use the network connection for the PC for the Internet, and the USB port will...
