Here is a free US Holidays ical file for anyone wanting to add holidays to the new ward calendar:

I created the US Holiday one and I offer it freely with no restrictions.

PS The perpetual calendar link above no longer works because there is a 2-year time limit for repeating events. However, the 2nd link will probably be all you need

For Germany
- here is a link to iCal (ics format) calenders, which can include Public and/or School holidays.
