Just adding my voice too for putting back the "send an email now" as it is sorely missed.

This feature is scheduled to be added back within the first two weeks after the 2.0 calendar release. It is the next thing we will work on in the priority list.

And put a little sleep at the top of the list, as I'm sure the team is working overtime on the new calendar!

But note that version 2 will not immediately restore the email notification feature. That is scheduled to be restored 2-3 weeks after the release.

By the end of this month, according to the FAQ When will the e-mail notification settings be added to the new Calendar? (that's a bit later than I said in a previous post).
