Make out-of-unit husband and wife show same household?

I'm a Stake Clerk trying to help a local clerk make a change.

When viewing the Member List > Households tab in LCR in the new unit, the out-of-unit member and his wife are showing as two separate households. When viewing their member records for their actual unit of membership they are correctly showing to be in the same household. Is there a way to add the wife to the husband's household in the out-of-unit unit? Was an option missed when adding the wife as an out-of-unit member? Do we need to remove her and re-add her as an out-of-unit member? Because they are out of unit members it doesn't appear that the household can be edited like normal in-unit member households.

We had a senior missionary couple serve in our stake. We added each of them so they could access the directory and other information related to their mission assignments. But we were never able to group them as a couple in one household in the system. This was several years ago.

It looks like the only option is to do it at the time you create the out-of-unit member. I tried a few other options in a test environment and got errors.

You can do it as you create the second out-of-unit member. The second screen gives you the option to select the Head of Household Moving into the Ward. If you choose Join to and existing household already in the Ward you can search for the first out-of-unit member you created and make them the Head of Household.
