I’m having similar issues.. I go to login and it accepts my password, but at the update screen, it logs me back out. I don’t get any error message or anything. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling member tools, but it hasn’t fixed the issue.

I am having the same issue. iPhone XR with Member Tools version 4.0.0 (6913).

Still not working. I have uninstalled and re downloaded the app.

For the last month or more I have been having synch problems on my Iphone 6 plus. I have deleted the app and re-installed there was a forced synch at that time. Every time I open it now I get message to synch and when I OK the message I get a new message that 'Member tools services are unavailable. Please try again at a later time.'

In addition new feature for automated synch does not appear to be synching, The indications are a message on the synch screen about the last manual update in July when I deleted the app and no changes in the member directory for members who have moved into the ward. I have to use LCR for the information. The tool is virtually useless if it is not current. As a bishop I was synching multiple times a week and now the data is a month old.

I’m having the same problem. Have not been able to sync/update for over a month now. I get that same message, “Member Services Not Available, please try again later.” Any help on this?

I’m not able to sync successfully and it boots me out. I can’t use membertools app at all on my iPhone or iPad. Deleted and reloaded program, no change..... help?

Same issue here. I have uninstalled/reinstalled app (iPhone 8, IOS 13.6.1), reset network settings, and still no luck. The progress indicator gets to around 25% then stalls. After several minutes , I get the “Member Services Not Available, please try again later” error. Very frustrating, especially when Member Tools REQUIRES a sync within a certain time period.

I recently moved into a new ward and tried to sync the app to utilize the directory.

The error message I get is “Failed to download. Please try again later.”

I have reset my password multiple times, have deleted and reinstalled the app, yet nothing works.

Any suggestions?

Try going to the directory on the web page and see if you can get it there. It's possible your membership records haven't caught up to you and are in limbo. By visiting the web page and making sure you can see your new ward that's a quick way to check.

But as a note, the services are frequently overwhelmed on a Sunday.
