This seems to be a major recurring issue with LDS Tools, and yet throughout this entire thread I have yet to see any helpful suggestions given. It seems like there are some major reliability issues behind LDS tools that need to be addressed if significant numbers of users are regularly unable to log in or update their apps over the course of the past few years.

All I can suggest is sending feedback via the app itself. So far, no one seems to have identified anything that can be done by the member to resolve the problem.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I am also seeing this issue. App won't recognize my username and password that I use on my church account online. I've signed in no problem on my computer, but the app won't allow me to sign into the tools app on my iPad Pro (ios 14.6) or my iPhone 11Pro (ios 14.6). When I deleted the app and downloaded it again, it still won't allow me to sign in with the current username and password that I've used to sign into my account with my laptop.

In this thread someone reported that they were required to change their password. I'm not sure if/how they were prompted.

I wonder if something like that is in play here.

One member in the ward reported having login issues on the app (on the website it works with no problem). She said that once she was able to login again with a new password but not it doesn't work anymore at all.
She has a HUAWEI P30, with Android 10.

I could not get LDS Tools to update. It kept saying sign in failed. I signed out and now I cannot sign into LDS tools on my iphone. I have tried deleting the app, rebooting my iphone, reloading the app, changing my password etc. and it still says sign in failed. I need this for my calling. Any suggestions?
