I don't use Member tools that often, but I finally figured out in my situation that my login error was due to not have a password that was 12 characters. My old password was valid and would let me login online, but would not let me login to the Member Tools App after one of the updates, it would just give me a login error. This was on Version 4.1.1. After changing my password to 12 characters, I was able to login to the Member Tools App and not get the login error.
