Me too. I posted a newsletter article, then attempted to edit. I get the error "Not Available
This page is unavailable. Error code: 2-1919". It does not matter what the edit is --- no edits of any kind can be made.
Does the fact that this problem is posted here mean a developer will note this bug? Is this all that can be done to report a bug?

No to both questions. The forum is primarily user to user support. However, there are church employees who visit the forums. That does not mean they are the ones on the team responsible for the site or tool. They also may not have the line of communication to pass along the problem or issue. Occasionally we do hit the jackpot with the right church employee reading the thread and reporting the problem.CBruegge wrote:Does the fact that this problem is posted here mean a developer will note this bug? The official feedback source is the LDS.org feedback link found at the bottom of the LDS.org main page. There are other LDS.org pages and sites with the feedback link. But not all of the pages or sites have the link.

Yes, this is a bug. We cannot use certain words? That is crazy. There needs to be something done. And can we find out what Error 2-1919 actually stands for from the programmers?

Re: error message when saving newsletter
The "workaround" that I use is that I delete the picture(s), modify the text, save, then go back in and add the pictures back and save again. Works for me every time, although it's a real hassle. If you've got alot of pictures, it could be a major problem!

Please post the browser URL that gave the errors - with any personal information, ward information, and IDs removed (e.g. https://www.lds.org/scriptures). This will help troubleshoot the errors.
Thanks

I'm not sure just what you're asking for -- do you just want the URL for a problematic Newsletter article? Any browser URL will be specific to our unit. But perhaps because you are a Church employee you can work with unit-specific URLs. Here's one for my stake: https://www.lds.org/member-news?lang=en ... 0317196384ArvesethSR wrote:Please post the browser URL that gave the errors - with any personal information, ward information, and IDs removed (e.g. https://www.lds.org/scriptures). If you edit that article (which includes an image), then click Save, you'll get "Not Available / This page is unavailable. Error code: 2-1919"
It took me less than a minute to create that article. Any article that contains an image can be saved the first time, but then any subsequent edit and save will generate that error message.
It's worthy of note that the URL I am sent to after I click Save is https://www.lds.org/member-news/edit-article?lang=eng -- note that it has no article ID. But if I do the same thing with an article that has no image, the URL I am sent to is the exact one I started with (like https://www.lds.org/member-news?lang=en ... 0317196384 ).

Re: error message when saving newsletter
Woohoo! It appears that ArvesethSR has fixed the problem with editing and saving articles that contain images.aebrown wrote:Any article that contains an image can be saved the first time, but then any subsequent edit and save will generate that error message.
It will take me more time to test the other situations, but I believe the image issue was afflicting the most people, so it's great that it seems to be fixed.
