Collaborative Gospel Study Platform

Post by justincy »

For many years, I've been thinking about a collaborative gospel study platform. You would be able to annotate the scriptures, conference talks, manuals, and other content from LDS.org to share thoughts or questions with a select group of other people. Groups could include family, friends, ward members, or class members. I first wanted something like this for myself as a better way manage notes I take when studying but then I realized that being able to share and collaborate would be even better. Checkout history.genius.com for an example of how a program like this might work.

I likely would've started development on this already if it wasn't for the enormous limitation of copyright on all of the content. Which means only the church (and this community) could build this.

Do you think this would be useful? Would you use it?
