I have sent a DM to a number of you who reported problems creating accounts. Please try accessing the Zoom account creation page again. If you continue to have problems send me a DM or complete the feedback form in the portal so we can troubleshoot your issue and determine what is causing the problem. Thanks!

What is the rationale for restricting Zoom access to STS only? Other Church systems, including technology manager and webcast, allow Stake Clerks to manage accounts. I believe the inconsistency will create challenges for stakes. I strongly recommend that stake clerks be granted access to the Zoom provisioning and/or managing site.

I've got my first unit converted over (from a free Zoom account). I can see in the Zoom account that we are part of the Church's enterprise account. Everything looks good, except for the Webinar part. That does not seem to be enabled. Any ideas how to get that turned on?

I see the zoom option, but it won't let me create an account when I click create. How did you get it to work? Edit- I found that if the email already has a zoom account it won't allow creation. How do we get past this?

I am a Stake Clerk and the STS. Both callings are in LCR, but when I go to meet.ChurchofJesusChrist.org all I get is the Google Meets sign up info. And now it goes straight to a confirmation page of a new google email. What do I need to do to get to the zoom link?

Thanks, bartj, this will be very helpful.

We've been using my personal paid Zoom account for the past several months so this is certainly good news. Like the others though, I only see an option to sign up for google meets when I go to meet.churchofJesusChrist.org I tried adding assistant technology specialist to my responsibility in LCR (I'm currently serving as the stake clerk) but that didn't work. Unfortunately my assistant clerk responsible for technology is going though health issues and can't serve for a time.

We took a look in the system at the users who reported only getting access to the Google Meet enrollment page and found those individuals did not have the correct calling associated to their record. In order to create a Zoom account you must have the Stake Assistant Clerk - Technology Specialist calling. This calling is technically part of the stake presidency. Those who could not access the Zoom accounts had the Assistance Technology Specialist calling, which will not work.

In the future the ability to create these accounts may be expanded, but for the time being you must be a Stake Assistance Clerk - Technology Specialist.

To verify your positions, go to the Church Account page and click on the Membership link. (https://account.churchofjesuschrist.org/membership)

If you don't see "Stake Assistant Clerk--Technology Specialist" there, you don't have the right position to accomplish this task.

Same for me. Does it take overnight for the STS calling to sync across the systems?
