Setting up a Ward Zoom Account

I was recently called to be a Ward Technology Specialist. It seems my ward is mostly wanting me to help out with administrating zoom meetings.

I've connected with the STS and got my email (personal) associated with the Church of Jesus Christ - local units, zoom account. However, I haven't received any information from zoom in regards to how to log into the zoom account now. My STS hasn't had to setup a zoom account for any stake level activity so he wasn't sure how to proceed.

My email was associated with a zoom account before, and I logged on using Google. Now, when I use the login with Google option I get the following error from zoom: "You cannot log into your Zoom account using this method. Contact your IT administrator for instructions. (2,025)"

Anyone have any ideas?

Greetings. Instead of clicking on the Google login button, try entering your personal email address and the password the STS [hopefully] gave you. As you found out, the church's enterprise Zoom account doesn't work with the social media login buttons.

Since you had a Zoom account associated with your email, I think the process goes differently.

The only way the STS would have a password is if he associated a new account with a email he receives. That's not what's happening here.

I'd suggest following the process here to get a email/password combination associated with the account.

I am the 2nd councilor in the Hooper Stake Presidency. We are planning an activity where each Ward Technology Specialist needs access to their wards Church Zoom accounts. One Tech Specialist has the calling in LCR but when he goes to meet.ChurchoJesusChrist.org he is not given the option for a zoom account. He wonders if it is because he has a custom calling in LCR.

The only person who has the needed access to the "meet" page is the Stake Technology Specialist, which must be recorded as a standard position.

The Assistants do NOT have access. Nor would any custom calling grant access.
