Electronic Submission for Ordinance Worker Recommendations

It would be great to make temple ordinance worker recommendations electronic like the missionary recommendations. (I don't have experience with the missionary system, but I hear good things). In the two years that I have been filling out temple ordinance worker recommendations, I estimate that 50% of them don't make it to the temple without being sent multiple times because they get lost in going from bishop to stake to temple.

There would be a number of other benefits. It would make it easier to ensure that bishops reviewed membership records of prospective workers, since that step could be tied into the electronic process. The temple would then have an electronic tracking system for ordinance workers that would automatically update from MLS. (When I was an ordinance worker, the worker rosters were hopelessly out of date because they were rarely updated.) Stake and ward leaders could track the submissions (like missionary papers) to know what step of the process they were in.

Something like this would be very useful, especially for large temples like Provo, as Provo has some 4,000 workers that come in and do something every week.

That is larger than the total membership of just about any stake around even here.
